Rodstarkian Vault
Rodstarkian Vault setup
Prepare Rodstarkian Vault for one intended Discord server.
Confirm authority and permissions
Choose the intended server and official Vault bot. Backup and template commands require the current server owner or a Discord Administrator. Confirm the bot can access the resources you intend to capture.
Create a backup
Run /backup create with full or the required selective type and an optional useful name. Wait for the result, retain its ID, and inspect /backup info id:<backup-id>. A requested backup is not a completed recovery point.
Review schedules and retention
An approved Suite administrator can select the server in Backups, configure its automated backup schedule and retention, save, and reload the settings. Inspect the resulting backup after its scheduled run.
Archive and download
Use /backup archive id:<backup-id> enabled:true to mark a recovery point archived. Confirm its state with info or list. /backup download provides the supported export when available. Neither archive nor download proves that restoration succeeds.
Review destructive restore options
Use /backup restore id:<backup-id> after checking the target. Omitted prune defaults to true and may remove resources absent from the backup. wipe:true deletes existing channels and roles first. Review messages, bans, and target_guild explicitly. A different target requires Vault and owner or Administrator authority there too.
Confirm the result before another action
Inspect the actual server after the final restore response. A lost response can follow completed changes. Stop and inspect the existing operation before considering another request.
Use reusable templates
Use /template save name:<name>, retain the returned ID, and confirm it with /template list. /template apply id:<template-id> changes server structure and can prune resources absent from the template; review the current server first.
Configure voice keep-alive separately
Use the documented /voice commands to select, enable, disable, or inspect the voice keep-alive connection. This setting is separate from backup and restoration.
